Shotcrete 2024

August 14-15, 2024

Novotel Hotel, Preston VIC

REGISTRATION OPEN - CLICK HERE

Shotcrete has become established as an essential component of most underground space development. Recent years have seen a large increase in the amount of shotcrete used for civil infra-structure in Australia. The volume of work and demands for sustainability and price control have presented new challenges for suppliers, contractors, and specifiers involved with this material. The evolution of shotcrete technology over recent years, plus the large number of new people in the industry, has heightened the need for an update on new products, processes, and methods related to shotcrete application available within the industry.

In response to these demands, the Australian Shotcrete Society has organised a two-day workshop to be held on August 14-15, 2024, at the Novotel Hotel, Preston, in Melbourne. The workshop will cover a range of topics related to developments in shotcrete for ground support in Australia. The format will comprise a first day of lectures covering the essentials of shotcrete technology for all applications, followed by a second day focused on more advanced aspects of shotcrete relevant to civil tunnels and infra-structure. An optional field trip to the Victoria University fire testing lab is available on Friday morning after the workshop. There may also be a series of displays and exhibitions covering products of relevance to the shotcrete industry. A workshop dinner will take place on the evening of the first day. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
